Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Robin Andrew Theriot, 20, who passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday from 5:00 pm and continue until 12:00 pm on Friday.
A rosary will be prayed by Patrick LeBlanc at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Robin honorably served his country in the United States Army and also completed Advanced Individual Training in the military. He graduated from the Youth Challenge Program and was a member of the ROTC. Robin enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing video games, spending time with family and friends, especially his brothers and sister who were the loves of his life. He will be remembered for his big heart, infectious smile, and his love for helping those in need.
He is survived by his mother, Crystal (Danny) David of St. Martinville; father, Robin Melancon of St. Martinville; girlfriend, Tori Oglesby of Lake Charles; two brothers, Dakota (Shelby) Savoie of Denver, CO and Trey Melancon of Fayetteville, NC; three sisters, Crisdany David of St. Martinville, Emily David of St. Martinville, and Shelby Way of Lafayette; grandparents, Mike and Lisa David of Parks, Mazel Vicknair of St. Martinville, Oreste Theriot of Breaux Bridge, and Theresa Latiolais of St. Martinville, and Harriet David; four uncles, Cody (Christy) Theriot and Rammie Melancon, both of St. Martinville, Casey (Ana) David, and Aaron (Bailey) David; and four aunts, Heather (John) Richard of Parks, Chelsy (Angie) Champagne of St. Martinville, Rachael (Johnny) Champagne of Parks, and Francine (Kim) Melancon of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Laviolette; grandfather, Larry Melancon, Sr; great grandmother, Theresa Lasseigne; great grandfather, Pat Lasseigne.; great grandparents, Verna and Alvon Laviolette; uncles, Terry Theriot and Larry Melancon, Jr.; and cousin, Cye Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Trey Melancon, Dakota Savoie, Johnathon Champagne Jr., Kyle Bourliea, Bryson Dartez, and Ernie Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Theresa Latiolais, Ralph Aucoin, and Jeffrey Thompson.
