Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Friday, November 30, 2012, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Richard L. "Ricky" Hebert, Sr., 60, who passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Opelousas General Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm on Friday Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Ricky was a mechanic by trade, who enjoyed working on automobiles and motorcycles. A sports enthusiast, he loved watching L.S.U. and New Orleans Saints football. Ricky also had a passion for cooking, especially for his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Wanda K. Hebert of Arnaudville; two sons, Richard L. Hebert, Jr. and Jake Hebert, both of Sunset; his daughter, Jeana Hebert of Arnaudville; four brothers, Shane (Lisa) Hebert of Cecilia, Kim (Arlene) Hebert of Arnaudville, Wayne (Missy) Hebert of Cecilia, and Gregory Hebert of Arnaudville; two sisters, Cherie (Kim) Serrette of Lafayette, and Tanya (Bryan) Olivier of Houston, TX; and two grandchildren, Jaden and Kaden Hebert. He is preceded in death by his father, Llewellyn Hebert; a brother, Billy Hebert; his maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Louise Kidder; paternal grandparents, Theard and Mable Hebert; and his step grandmother, Elizabeth 'Libby' Kidder. Pallbearers will be Shane, Kim, Wayne and Gregory Hebert, Bryan Olivier, and Kim Serrette. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville (337.754.5881), is in charge of arrangements.
