Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Percy Johnson, 88, who passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Breaux. Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Allen Breaux of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Mr. Johnson was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Louisiana State Employees Retirement System and a member of the American Legion for 60 plus years. Survivors include his wife, Marion G. Johnson of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Wayne Johnson and his wife, Priscilla of Henderson, Craig Johnson and his wife, Cathy of Cecilia and Ted Johnson and his wife, Patti of Cecilia. His brother, Claude Johnson of Cecilia. His Grandchildren, Jeb Johnson, Jules Johnson, Shellie Dore', David Johnson, Anna Duplechien, Adam Johnson, Jonathan Johnson and Cy Johnson; his step great-grandson, Brent Taylor and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolte and Marie Betancourt Johnson; his son, Jed Johnson; his brothers, George and Armand Johnson; and his sisters, Lydia Clause and Lena Johnson. A special thanks to Dr. Warren J. Degatur Jr. MD, the administration and staff at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center as well as Madge Larson, RN for the wonderful care and compassion. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:30 p.m. ~ 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2007 and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Jeb Johnson, Jules Johnson, David Johnson, Adam Johnson, Ace Duplechien, Brent Taylor and Snapper Dore'. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
