Otto Frederick

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 16, 2005, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Otto Frederick, 80, who died Friday, May 13, 2005 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Frederick was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Lena L. Frederick of Catahoula; his son, Johnny Frederick and his wife, Tina of Catahoula; his brother, Albin Frederick of Cecilia; his sisters, Ethel Frederick of St. Martinville and Odile F. Menard of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Caroline Frederick of Catahoula and Joey Frederick and his wife, Amy of Carencro; and his godchild and her son, Phoebe Savoy and Megiel Savoy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julie B. Frederick; and two sisters, Amarita David and Elizabeth Matthew. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 10:30 AM on Sunday and continue until time of service on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Sunday. Pallbearers will be Joey Frederick, Glen Savoy, Henry David, Sherman Savoy, Andy Latiolais and Tommy Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers will be Albin Frederick and Megiel Savoy. Pellerin Funeral Home (337)332-2111 is in charge of arrangements.
