St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 26, 2021 St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Mary Ann Dugas , 82, who passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Acadia General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday by her children.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville.
Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville. For many years, she worked as an attendant for Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville; and she also worked at the ARC of St. Martinville. Mary Ann's love for her family was indescribable. She loved spending time shopping, playing Pokeno, going to the casino, and playing cards. Mary Ann never met a stranger and was known to many by her nickname "Scary". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Lyle Dugas and Keith Daigle (Diane); daughters, Charlotte Blanchard (Dean) and Junette Ledet (Chris); brother, Barry LaGrange (Angie); grandchildren, Brock Daigle (Ashley), Madison Pratt (Colton), Edrick Prados, Kecia Schaubert (Cy), Ridge Blanchard (Kathleen), Shea McDaniel (Bryson), Beau Blanchard, Zoe Dugas and Brylon Dugas; great-grandchildren, Hollis Daigle, Holden Daigle, Caroline Pratt, Mallie Pratt, McKenzy Prados, Liam Blanchard, Ada Gray McDaniel, and Andi McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Edrick Daigle, Jr.; 2nd husband, A.J. Dugas; parents, Pierre LaGrange and Alice Barras LaGrange; and brother, Jerry LaGrange.
Pallbearers will be Brock Daigle, Edrick Prados, Ridge Blanchard, Beau Blanchard, Brylon Dugas, Ryan LaGrange, and Cory LaGrange.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cy Schaubert and Chris Ledet.
