Marvin Copell

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 8, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia for Marvin Copell, 73, who died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Iberia General Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Pastor Mark Gondron of Temple Baptist Church of New Iberia will be officiating the service. Mr. Copell enjoyed working outdoors and was a true handyman. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Virgie and family. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Denise Copell of New Iberia; his sons, Doyle Copell and his wife, Jennifer and Marc Copell and his wife, Sherry both of New Iberia; his daughters Sherry Copell of New Iberia and Sonya Depue of Broussard; his brothers, Winston, Wayne and Floyd Copell all of New Iberia and Larry Copell of Jeanerette; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley White and Newton Copell and his sister, Giles Copell. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007 until time of service. Pallbearers will be his two sons, Doyle and Marc Copell, David, Gordan and Colby Copell, and Rene Blanchard. Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia, LA 337-365-3331 is in charge of arrangements.
