Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date for Lucien Neville "Poncho" Bergeron, Jr., 58, who passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 at his residence. "Poncho" as he was better known to his family and friends, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed cooking and baking for them, especially his "Gateau Syrop" (syrup cake). Lucien is survived by three sisters, Elvina Bergeron, Mary Courville, and Birdie Guidry, all of Henderson; and 24 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvina Robin and Lucien Bergeron, Sr.; three brothers, Alvin, Ernest and Dewey Bergeron; and one sister, Rosa Belle Taylor. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
