Linda Touchet Romero

New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia in New Iberia for Linda Touchet Romero, 67, who passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the St. Marcellus Church Cemetery in Rynella. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. Linda Touchet Romero was born on May 19, 1953 to the late Verdy Touchet, Sr. and Esther Touchet. She loved pokeno, the Dallas Cowboys and her dog, Boo-Boo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Mrs. Romero is survived by son, Johnny Migues (Raquel); daughters, Dolly Migues and Cindy Segura (Derek); grandchildren, Ricky Reed Jr., Morgan Reed, Heidi Migues, Haidyn Migues, Ami Segura, Bekah Segura, and Emmett Segura; great-grandson, Colton Gaudet; sister, Sheila Touchet (Loc); brothers, Verdy Touchet, Jr. and Chad Wallace; mother-in-law; Bobbie Romero; 16 nieces and nephews; and five godchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Romero; children, Edward Migues, Jr. and Amy Migues; granddaughter, Macy Migues; sisters, Rebecca Hulin, Barbara Gary and Sheryl Chantaphone; maternal grandparents, Bertha and Dupre Landry; paternal grandparents, Clarphie and Esperie Touchet; father-in-law, Wiltz Romero; and a brother-in-law, Jesse Romero. Pallbearers will be Johnny Migues, Ricky Reed Jr., Derek Segura, Verdy Touchet, Jr., Chad Wallace and Larry “Loc” Nguyen. Honorary pallbearers are Emmett Segura, Larry Segura and Frank Romero. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Acadian Hospice; and her nurses, Laura and Carrie for extraordinary care; and to Sam Gary and Ricky Reed, Jr. for taking such good care of Linda in her times of need.
