Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Lawrence Thibodeaux, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue Thursday at 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Deacon Butch Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Thibodeaux enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and drinking with his buddies. Throughout his life, Lawrence took great pride in every job that he had, including working at Kaiser, Gordy Salt Mine, LA Swabbing, and Cajun Well Service. Mr. Thibodeaux was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams: including the New Orleans Saints, L.S.U. Tigers, and Breaux Bridge High Tigers. During his free time, he cherished moments spent with his loved ones watching a boxing or wrestling match on T.V. He is survived by his loving wife, Louella Tauzin Thibodeaux; sons, Michael Thibodeaux and wife Jackie, and Johnny Thibodeaux and wife Mitzy, all of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Blanche Tabor and husband Jim, Lisa Dumatrait and husband Marcel, all of Breaux Bridge, and Christy Richard and husband Michael of Carencro; brother, Bernel Martin and wife Pat of Crowley; sisters, Joyce Meche and husband Steven of Breaux Bridge, Linda West and husband Ray of NC, Mable Muscarella and husband Joe of New Orleans, and Mildred Soignier of Broussard; grandchildren, Brandi, Brodie, Joshua, Brooks, Danielle, Jamin, Dustin, Ariel, Kaylee, Kayson, Kaisley, and Kiki; and great grandchildren, Peyton, Ella, Sophia, Caroline, Scarlet, Isabella, Jayce, Kadence, Destiny, Trinity, Jorda, Jordan, Baby Jamin, Kayden, and Mila. He was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Blanche Babin Thibodeaux; brothers, Earl, Dennis, Lionel, and Raymond Thibodeaux; and sisters, Mary Ann Usie and Jeanne Berard. Pallbearers will be Brooks Melancon, Jamin Melancon, Brodie Thibodeaux, Josh Thibodeaux, Michael Richard, and Joseph Gary. Honorary pallbearer will be Dustin Dumatrait.
