New Iberia A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, for JoAnn Davant Segura, 80, who passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at her residence.
Visitation will begin at 11 am until time of service at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church.
Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Memorial Mass. Scriptures will be read by Therse Segura and the Gift Bearer will be Blaise Segura. Music will be provided by Kay Migues and Billie Sue Kramer. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
JoAnn was a travel agent for numerous years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and cherished moments spent with her family, especially her grandson, Blaise, whom she adored.
She is survived by her husband, Henry George Segura of New Iberia; her son, George A. Segura and his wife, Jene, of New Iberia; her sister, Emma Lou Segura and her husband, Perry, of New Iberia; her grandchild, Blaise Segura; two nieces, Therse Segura of New Iberia and Colleen Sims and her husband, Jerry, of Mississippi; and three nephews, Perry Segura, II and his wife, Trisha, of New Iberia, Chris Segura of Baton Rouge, and David Segura of New Iberia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Austin Davant and Pauline Doerle Davant.
