New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 9:00 AM , Monday, February 20, 2012 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Jeanne Elliott, 65, who passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 in Lafayette .. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Frost Town , LA. at 3:00 PM on Monday. Rev. Alan Brown will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . Visitation will continue Monday at 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM . Born on September 29, 1946 , Jeanne was a member of the Cajun French Music Association and the Cruisin Cajuns Car Club. She was an avid Greenbay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan, but first and foremost were NISH Baseball and New Iberia Jaycee Cajuns baseball, they were her passion. She loved reading, scrapebooking, making Christmas decorations for family and most of all she enjoyed being maw maw to her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Von Elliott of New Iberia ; her sons, Chance Elliott and wife Joni of Plains, Georgia, Jude Elliott and wife Nikki of New Iberia; her sister, Eunice French and husband Jerry of Rolla, Missouri ; her grandchildren, Logan Elliott, Jillian Westbury, Jesse Westbury, Emma Westbury, Logan Aucoin and Keegan Elliott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Herdie Credeur Pelafigue.. Pallbearers will be Adam Killgore, Steve French, Chuckie Parks , Kevin Rodrigue, John Temple and Nick Landry. Honorary pallbearers include, Rusty Begnaud, Shane Youman, Mark Sargent in honor of John Jeff Sargent, all members of the NISH Baseball Team and the New Iberia Jaycee Cajuns from 1992-2009.
