New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Nativity Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jeanette Beb Gonsoulin Richard, 82, who died Saturday, July 12, 2014, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 1:15 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Tuesday. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Richard was born on May 14, 1932 to Ulysse and Edna Berard Gonsoulin. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, and baking. She is survived by her children, Patrick Richard and wife Renee of New Iberia, Darrell Richard of St. Rose, Wynn Richard of Dayton, Texas, Lynette Richard Fraser of New Iberia, Lacey Richard of Baton Rouge, Tricia Richard of New Iberia; brother, Andrew Gonsoulin of New Iberia; sister, Florence Gossen of Lafayette; 9 grandchildren, Ashlee Richard, David Richard and wife Shayna, Amanda Richard, Christopher Richard, Lindsey Richard, Lacee Richard, Samantha Richard, Dustin Richard, Matthew Edwards; 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Beb was preceded in death by her husband, Russell James Richard; siblings, Alice G. Estellte, Alma G. Kilchrist, Euncie G. White, Edna G. Hayes, Louise G. Kilchrist, Ulysse Gonsoulin, Lucille Sis G. Taylor, Daniel Gonsoulin, Noelie Sweet G. Lastrapes; and a son-in-law, John Fraser.
