New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for James "Jimmy" R. McDaniel. 48, who died Sunday, December 16, 2007 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Jimmy had previously worked for Himel Motor Supply in Jeanerette. He enjoyed music, cars, and watching movies. Survivors include his mother, Inez Landry McDaniel of Erath; brother, John McDaniel of Jeanerette; sisters, Janice McDaniel of Erath, Pam Romero of Maurice, Debbie McDaniel of Erath, Cindy McDaniel of Lafayette; special friends, Kossuth and Janet Boutte; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John D. McDaniel; grandparents, Elgin McDaniel, Mary Jane McDaniel, Francis Landry, Inez Brown Landry; uncles, Kenneth Landry, Allen Landry; cousin, Amy Landry. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be John McDaniel, Kossuth Boutte, Tom LeMaire, Guy LeJeune, Randy Sherville, and Minos Romero. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Mestayer, Brennen McDaniel, Drapeau Sherville, and Michael Mecom. Memorial contributions may be made to Jimmy's family.
