Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2007, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Hilda Dartez LeBlanc, 67, who died on Friday, August 31, 2007 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Aaron Melancon, pastor of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Gift Bearers will be Wilson LeBlanc and William LeBlanc Mrs. LeBlanc was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. ?She worked as the Head Cook at Pat's Fisherman's Wharf and Restaurant for 25 years. ?She enjoyed going to the horse races with the love of her life, Mr. Milton, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Milton LeBlanc, Sr., of Arnaudville; three sons, Johnny LeBlanc, of Lexington, KY, Jimmy LeBlanc, of Cecilia, and Milton LeBlanc, Jr. and his wife, Veronica, of Lafayette; her daughter, Julie LeBlanc, of Cecilia; one brother, Harold Dartez, of Houston, TX; five sisters, Hazel Cormier and Theresa Charles, both of Houston, TX, Genevieve Dartez, Grace Patt, and Stella Dartez, all of Cecilia; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayman and Amanda Journet Dartez; a grandson, Jimmy LeBlanc, Jr.; her sister, Barbara Dartez; and her brothers, Herman, Roger, and Linton Dartez, and Murphy Ledet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Pallbearers will be Broderick Patt, Willie Dartez, Troy Dartez, Tommy Dural, Jermaine Davis and Marvin Castex. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
