Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Harris Theriot, 86, who passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday by Sister Ameline Theriot. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Harris was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Louisiana National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, camping, traveling, and carpentry. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Irene Rita Theriot; his son, Harvey Theriot and wife Peggy of Arnaudville; his daughters, Sheilia Mouton of Parks, Loretta Sieber of Cypress Island, Veronica Thibodeaux and husband Abby of Parks, and Faye M. Trahan and husband Audie of Parks; his grandchildren, Cody, Clinton, Sharia, Joshua, Kyle, Aaron, Kala, Jamie, Angelique, Brittany, and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Hannah, Micah, Naomi, Halli, Khylan, Parker, Zander, Addison, Rylie, Reece, Ellie, and Emeri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Telicia Champagne Theriot; his sisters, Laura Albert and Loretta Theriot; his brothers, Theodore, Louis, Euclide, Jeff, and Lawrence; a set of twin siblings; his daughter-in-law, Peggy Babineaux Theriot; his granddaughter Naomi Sieber; and his granddaughter-in-law, Amy C.
