Gloria Blanchard

Parks - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Gloria Ann Theriot Blanchard, 72, who died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at her residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Bryce Sibley will conduct the services The readers will be Jackie Theriot and Marleen Laviolette and gift bearers will be Rachelle Gallet and Sonya Benoit. Mrs. Blanchard was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a Lay Minister and a Lector. ?She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Rosary Group. ?She loved to cook, watch game shows and participate in the mass on television. ?She was always waiting for company so that she could give them a fresh cup of coffee. ?She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Blanchard Douet and her husband, Charles; her sons, Bert Blanchard and his wife, Louise, Keith Blanchard, and Brian Blanchard and his wife, Angie, all of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, David ""Shine"" Theriot, Clifton Theriot, Dudley Theriot, Jackie Theriot, and Howard Theriot; her sisters, Marie ""Sis"" Bonin and Sylvia ""Siv"" Borel; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland ""T-Neg"" Blanchard; her parents, Sylvan and Angela B. Theriot; and her brother, Patrick Theriot. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Troy, Guy, Lance, Dustin and Dannah Blanchard, and Glenn Gallet. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Blanchard, Greg Gallet, and Cale Blanchard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
