St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Elouise Etienne, 61, who passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Tuesday. Rev. Abelardo Gabriel SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Elouise enjoyed cleaning, cooking, dancing, and sitting outside with her husband drinking a cold beer and reminiscing about the good old days. She also loved preparing for her favorite holiday, Mardi Gras, and being a part of all the beautiful colors that came about during the weeklong festivities. She will be sadly missed by everyone who was a part of her life. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Etienne of St. Martinville; four daughters, Rocquelle L. (Henry) Kelley of St. Martinville, Celeste L. (Paul) Glaude of Lafayette, Brooke A. (Francis) Barras of St. Martinville, and Terri L. Etienne of St. Martinville; son, Clifford A. (Tracy, fiancee') Etienne Jr. of St. Martinville; twelve grandchildren, Trevious C. Etienne, Draylon R. Kelley, Jaylon M. Kelley, Traliyah Y. Kelley, Payton J. Glaude, Paul J. Glaude, III, Paxton J. Glaude, Francis A. Barras, Jr., Baylon A. Barras, Taegan A. Etienne, Jamarcus J. Lorden, and Tahquajah Z. Kelley; great grandchildren, Karter Henry, Dakota Henry, and Koi Henry; five brothers, Joseph (Liz) Orphe Jr. of Houston, Cleveland Landry of Lafayette, James Landry of St. Martinville, Karl Landry of Lafayette, and Matthew (Norma) Landry of St. Martinville; two sisters, Mary Darbigny of St. Martinville and Phyllis (Roy) Roberts of Broussard; three sisters-in-law, Judy (Kenneth, Sr.) Moore of New Iberia, Lucindy (Bobby) Perrodin of St. Martinville, and Debra Landry of St. Martinville; godchild, Roy Roberts, III; three; and four brothers-in-law, George (Linda) Etienne Jr. of Houston, Walter (Gwen) Etienne Sr. of Houston, Willis (Sandra) Etienne of Lafayette, and Paul Milton of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Merline Landry Orphe, Sr.; brother, Samuel Orphe; sister, Tamara Milton; mother and father-in-law, Mildred and George Etienne, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Dalton Etienne and Darryl Darbigny; nephew, Jeremy Mitchell; niece, Kayla Landry; and two great nieces, Kennedy Gordon and Kensli Moore. Pallbearers will be Trevious Etienne, Draylon Kelley, Jaylon Kelley, Francis Barras Sr., Charles Kelley, and Paul Glaude, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleveland Landry, James Landry, Karl Landry, Matthew Landry, Walter Etienne Sr., Willis Etienne, and Marcus Lorden. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (337-332-2111).
