Edward S. Miller, IV

Jeanerette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette for Edward S. Miller IV, 52, who passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in Lafayette. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 10:00 am until 12:45 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am Friday. Edward was born on May 29, 1968 to the late Edward “Eddie” Miller, III and Mary Ann Gonsoulin Miller. An avid LSU Fan, he was a Green Belt in Six Sigma Certification. Edward enjoyed trapping with his Dad, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Atkinson Miller; four daughters, Allyson Wilson (Chris), Emilie Miller (fiance Luke McLean), Haylie Miller (significant other Zack LeBlanc), and Mackenzie Miller; brother, Jeb Miller (Jennifer); four sisters, Antoinette "Toni" Jumonville, Monica Miller, Eleanor Landry (Trucker), and Mary Switzer (Shawn); grandchildren, James, Sonia, Zane, Declyn, Spencer, Olivia, and Audrey; mother-in-law, Jean Knighton Atkinson; former mother-in-law, Audrey Bourgeois; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald Atkinson. Pallbearers are Jules Brignac, Jacob Jumonville, Cardell Jumonville, Sr., Laudun Landry, Chris Wilson, and David Pugh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
