New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM , Friday, November 19, 2010 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Corinne David Desoto, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Born on March 10, 1917 in St. Martinville, Corinne owned and operated Davids Drive In for 32 years with her husband Adam at her side to make 'the perfect hotdog.' She also worked for Dauterive Hospital for 16 years as a linen supervisor. Corinne enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing and dancing, especially with the Council on Aging group. She loved gardening and growing vegetables, she definitely had the 'green thumb' in the family. Survivors include her daughter, Billie Jo David Voorhies of St. Francisville; her sisters, Mary Rose Dubois of Lake Charles , Joyce Golden of Metarie; her granddaughters, Laura David Louviere, Meya Voorhies Holloway; her great grandchildren, Heather Charpentier, Alexis Louviere, Christopher Louviere, Jr., Cooper Holloway and Coen Holloway. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felias and Corinne Borel Dugas; her 1st husband, Adam David; her 2nd husband, George Desoto; her son, Clayton J. 'Bugga' David; her brother, Felias Dugas, Jr.; her sister, Hazel Dugas Bonin. Billie Jo would like to extend a special thank you to Robbie Dale David and Sue Clement for their unconditional love, support and care that they gave to her mother.
