Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Claudia Savoy Savoy, 86, who passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Savoy was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a dedicated adorer in the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration for over 20 years. Claudia was retired from Broussard Hardware in Breaux Bridge , where she worked for many years and also served as a Commissioner of Elections in St. Martin Parish. She was a member of Lafayette Womens Bowling Association and the Woodmen of the World, Lodge 452, where she held several offices. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Savoy and Larry Savoy and his wife, Jackie, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Charles 'Charlie' Savoy and his wife, Trudy; four grandchildren, Melinda 'Millie' Latiolais and her husband, Tony, Gerald 'Bubba' Savoy and his wife, Hillary, Wade S. Savoy and his wife, Stacey, and Ashley S. Huval and her husband, Mark, all of Breaux Bridge; ten great grandchildren, Brian and Kyle Latiolais, Austin and Angelle Savoy, Hunter and Lane Savoy, Stephanie and Ben Savoy, and Ayden and Blake Huval; two step great granddaughters, Elena Escoyne and Megan Dawson; and her nieces and nephews, Georgia 'Lynn' Madden and her husband, Terry; Christopher 'Chris' Guilbeau and his wife, Robin; Faye Bruno and her husband, Vincent; and Michael 'Chuck' Savoy and his wife, Dianna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard 'Ben' Savoy; her parents, Charles and Alma Boudreaux Savoy ; her brother, Seville Savoy ; sister and brother-in-law, Euline and George Guilbeau; her daughter-in-law, Penny Roberts Savoy; granddaughter, Melissa 'Missie' Savoy ; sister-in-law, Lee Anna Savoy; and a niece, Mary Louise Richard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Gerald Savoy, Wade Savoy, Austin Savoy, Brian Latiolais, Michael Savoy, and Christopher Guilbeau. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Latiolais, Hunter Savoy, and Lane Savoy.
