Carol LaGrange

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Carol LaGrange, 85, who passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Thursday. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Connor Harwell. Gift Bearers will be his daughters. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Carol enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening, and taking his Sunday rides to get some good ol' Cajun Boudin. He loved having all his family over to eat his excellent cooking that was raved about and enjoyed by everyone. Carol was a very loving and caring man who always expressed the importance of family, respect, and honesty. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Merlin LaGrange of Arnaudville; three sons, Wayne LaGrange of Arnaudville, Ricky (Cynthia) LaGrange of Arnaudville, and Dean (Ken) LaGrange of Monroe, GA; two daughters, Carolyn (Carl) Olivier of Watson, LA, and Lorraine (Kevin) Harwell of Plano, TX; sister, Delores (Kenneth) Moreau of Opelousas; and nine grandchildren, CJ Olivier, Cody (Uyen) Olivier, Christopher (Emily) Olivier, Tanya LaGrange, Kayla LaGrange, Connor Harwell, Bryce Harwell, Grant LaGrange, and Chelsie Olivier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Alma Moreau LaGrange; stepmother, Louise LaGrange; brother, Daniel LaGrange; two stepbrothers, Clifton Lanclos and Walter Lanclos; and his stepsister, Jane Lanclos. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville, 314 St. Landry St., Arnaudville, LA 70512, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
