St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Betty S. Freeman, 74 Years, who passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Iberia Medical Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 10:00 am until the time of service. Pastor Perry Bonin will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Betty was a graduate of Loreauville Sr. High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing Bourré, and going to the casino. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Ace Mayeux (Jenny), Heath Freeman (Amy) and Jake Freeman; daughter, Faith Blanchard (Mitch); brothers, Ricky Sonnier (Tressie) and E. J. Sonnier (Crystal); sisters, Juanita Savoy (Roy), Suzanne Bonin (Perry), Nancy Case (Jerry) and Karen Darbonne (Paul); grandchildren, Josie, Andrea, Logan, Gentry, Emily, Chase, Ashton, Braxton, Embrey and Jersii; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Silas, Calli, Micah and Samantha.She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Freeman; sons, Derek Mayeux and Edwin Mayeux; grandson, Carter Freeman; parents, Euzebe Sonnier and Mabel Louviere Sonnier; and sister, Hope Sonnier. Pallbearers will be Ace Mayeux, Heath Freeman, Ricky Sonnier, E. J.
