Alcee Castille

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Alcee Castille, 82, who passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 1:45 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday by Deacon Ken Soignier. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass, assisted by Deacon Ken Soignier. Readers will be Tonya Boyer and Darlene Arceneaux. Gift Bearers will be Debra Barras and Rose Arceneaux. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Alcee was a hard worker all of his life to provide for he and his wife of 56 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting. He loved his nephews and nieces dearly and treated them like they were his own children. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Agnes "Dora" Richard Castille; brother, Elie Castille, Jr. and wife Lucille; sisters, Lillian C. Arceneaux, Rita C. Quebedeaux, Mary C. Martin, and Emeliene C. Kennison; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elie Castille, Sr.; mother, Emeliene Stelly Castille; and nephews, Harry Castille and David Castille. Pallbearers will be Richard Carpenter, Christian Landry, Joel Jeansonne, Chad Jeansonne, Johnny Arceneaux, and Johnathan Barras.
